Step-by-step from landing to General Luna. Baggage claim, finding your transfer, what the airport looks like, and the 4 things to prepare before you land.
First time at Siargao Airport? It is unlike any airport you have probably been through. Small, casual, and very manageable — but completely different from the major hubs you connect through. Here is exactly what to expect from landing to being in a van heading to General Luna.
Name sign at the exit. No hunting, no negotiation.
Disembark directly onto the tarmac — no jet bridge. Walk 2 minutes to the small terminal building. The approach over the Philippine Sea is spectacular.
One small carousel inside the terminal. Bags appear within 10–15 minutes of landing. Almost impossible to miss or go to the wrong carousel.
Walk straight through the building. Outside: van drivers with name signs (if pre-booked) or calling destinations. Total time from landing to exit: ~20 minutes.
Pre-booked: walk up to the driver with your name. Walk-in: drivers call "General Luna?", "Cloud 9?" — join the van for your destination.
Air-conditioned Toyota Hiace heading south. Coconut palms, rice fields, small fishing villages. Private van: 40–50 min direct. Shared shuttle: 55–70 min with stops.
₱350/person shared or ₱2,500–₱3,500 private van, in cash or GCash. Welcome to Siargao.
